The team is owned by billionaire investor Dan Gilbert, who has invested in many other sports teams including the Atlanta Braves, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and New York Mets.
It is the third time in five years the team has won a World Series.
Gilbert said last year the team will be looking for new logos, and he said in a statement that the team plans to use its logo for years to come.
The logo was first designed by Dan Gilbert.
Gilbert bought the team in 2004 and said he has spent more than $300 million in rebuilding the team since then.
The team has been in the playoffs in every season since 1999.
Gilberts family and his family have been partners in the Cleveland Cavaliers, which have won the NBA championship five times since 2004.
In his letter to fans, Gilbert said he plans to continue to build on the team’s success.
The Chicago Cubs have also invested heavily in the renovation of Wrigleys Field, which opened in 2000.
