Here are a few things you’ll need to know if you want to buy one.
1.
You can sign up in person, but you’ll also need to take a Pebble event.
The Pebble has been announced as a “wearable device” that uses an RFID tag to send messages.
That means you can sign-up in person with the help of an app, but the device will also take you on a ride.
That ride, if it’s the same as what you’ll get on the Pebble, will probably involve some sort of “meeting with the developer” (though we haven’t heard of any official confirmation of this).
2.
You’ll need an iPhone or Android smartphone to actually get the Pebble.
Pebble’s site lists a number of compatible phones, including the LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Note 4, Motorola Moto X Pure, LG V30, Huawei Honor 7, Huawei Ascend Mate 9, Motorola X30, LG G4, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6, and OnePlus 6T.
If you don’t want to have a dedicated smartphone for your Pebble, you can just take it with you when you go on vacation.
The company has also launched an Android app for the device, so you can check it out here.
3.
You’re not going to be able to use the Pebble without a smartphone, but there’s a nifty app for that.
The app lets you check out the specs of your Pebble in real time and also lets you connect to Pebble via Bluetooth (though the Pebble won’t have Bluetooth capability).
This way, you’ll be able “check-in” on the device and use it at the Pebble’s hotel.
4.
Pebble doesn’t have a website yet, but if you sign up online, you get a QR code that can be scanned to your smartphone or tablet.
You’ll need the Pebble app to use this feature.
5.
The Pebble is a fairly new product.
It was first announced in 2016, but it was launched in April of 2017.
Its specs and launch are pretty much in line with what we’ve seen on the Google Pixel and the LG V20.
Pebble, however, hasn’t announced a launch date for its own smartwatch, and the company has said it plans to focus on supporting Android devices.
We’ll update this post when we know more.
